Fall has arrived

I celebrated the Autumnal Equinox with a couple of old friends in Munich. It just happens to coincide with Oktoberfest. What a great event. Attendance was down this year and that played to our advantage as we didn’t have table reservations so we were able to get a seat inside the tents most afternoons. The evenings were a little tougher and we found ourselves enjoying the company of people from as far away as New Zealand and Australia. Oktoberfest is more about the people than it is about the beer. We hefted our beer mugs to Prost! as required.

I didn’t plan on getting much writing done, but rather use this time to completely relax my brain. It has worked since my arrival home last Sunday I have done productive writing every day.

With the weather changing the challenge to find a new place to write over the winter in the afternoons or evenings is becoming more difficult. The place I used to go to renovated and the atmosphere isn’t conducive for me. I wish them well. Of course the bulk of my writing takes place at my desk, but I like to have a place to go when the urge hits me. I bring my tablet with me whenever I am out and will take the opportunity to write few lines when it strikes me, but I am talking more about a regular place not to far off that I can get out and still stroke the keys significantly. Plein Aire writing is good!

So that is how I spent the last bit of summer and have given Autumn a good start as well. My next book is on schedule so far!

Until next time – See ya at the Forge!!!
